Training to become a seaman can be an exciting preposition. Working on a boat or ship however requires certain specialist skills, especially if one's plan is to be involved in the actual maneuvering of the vessel. Working on a sea vessel is a very technical and hands on experience. This is especially so if one hopes to become a day skipper.
